Dr. Leigh "Jack" Forbush earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed both his Family Medicine Residency and Fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Eastern Maine Medical Center.

His comprehensive family practice encompasses Internal Medicine, Gynecology, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Obstetrics and Traditional Osteopathy

As the current President of both the Maine Chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, past President of the New England Direct Primary Care Alliance and current Special Operations Director for the Direct Primary Care Alliance, Dr. Forbush remains actively engaged in healthcare leadership at local, state, and federal levels. Additionally, he volunteers annually in Paraguay with the Andrea Ritz Foundation, providing medical care to the Guarani community.



Renee Watters, RN

Renee joined out team in 2022 bringing years of Nursing experience to our team. Renee earned her nursing degree from Eastern Maine Community College in 2015. When she's not caring for patients, you can find her energetically leading or participating in Zumba classes, combining her passion for healthcare with her love of staying active.


Amy Fahey, CMA

Amy joined us in July 2024 having completed her Medical Assistant program at US Career Institute in 2024. She brings a balanced approach to patient care, unwinding from her workday through yoga practice, exploring hiking trails, and creating delicious baked treats in her free time.

Kristin Forbush, LMT

Originally from Connecticut, but a Mainer at heart (although she prefers the sun and surf of Costa Rica).  Kristin manages the business side of the practice in addition to keeping a certain...doctor...in line!

Additionally, she offers a wide range of massage services.


Henrietta "Hank" Poons, LCPC

Henrietta Poons , LCPC is a state licensed clinical counselor with a private practice located within the OCFM office since February 2016. She has worked collaboratively in the primary care setting for over 25 years . “Hank” offers individual, couples and family counseling to address the many psychosocial problems that may affect a person’s well-being. Her practice is open to adults from the community at large as well as patients of the Osteopathic Center for Family Medicine .
